3 Last Bytes came from karachi to make the total count 6. The plan was to go to Nathiagali on saturday morning and we were to return by Sunday night.
Khair, we had a great time on the way, feeding monkeys, sliding on the snow, teasing one another and witnessing the majestic sights.Upon reaching Nathiagali, we booked a room, left our belongings there to have more fun.
It was like heaven, the entire area covered with snow, and our feets digging it up for about 5 inches (not to mention the super dig by umair when more than 2/3rd of his leg disappeared), the snow slides, the slush slips and the energy drain in getting back to go again were all full on fun.
Most of the clowning was performed by Farhan Huda, who always wanted to climb up and was afraid to get down and always wanted to slide down but feared to climb back, and on three occassions a rescue squad gave him a new life.
All this, including lying down on the natural white blanket and having snow fights made us soak in liquid ice and later in the evening the locals were having a nice time watching us dry our bottoms with our backs facing the fire.
I considered myself to be very lucky when i was enjoying the first snowfall of my life, i looked up to envison the flakes to appear from nowhere at a distance of about 2 feet and land on my face. Simply amazing it was.
In the moring we visited another paradise, by the name of green spot. The 4x4 jeep was unable to move through the thick layer of frozen water so we decided to make it on foot. It was like walking in siachen (although i have never been there). The 90 minute walk was worth it, never had i witnessed such a view. Absolute beauty.
I wanted to make a snow man there, but it was getting late as we were to head for another spot, Ayubia.
At Ayubia we boarded the chair left to reach the highest point where we couldnt stay for long due to the cold breeze getting to our bones. Here a monkey snatched a packet of "pakoras" from me after i offered it a single piece clearly idicating "Hey,one piece wont do, i want MY SHARE!!!"
Next we came to Muree as some wanted to see the Mall road. It snowed there as well but not that much.
It was about 5:30 in the evening on Sunday when we reached Choudry house in Islamabad. The end of the journey which i enjoyed the most.
