Finally got it !!!!

Ok ppl so i dare and make the decision. Me is now a proud owner of a Sony S40.
Wish List item 1 is reality now. Yeyyyyy.

The new face

Weather has shown its beauty in this week with the temperature touching 46C and the forcast in the paper saying "very hot and dry" yesterday.

This will continue for Islamabad for the next few days as per the forcast while the residents of the city say that this will change in the next month with week long showers as i have witnessed in the winter.

Although, having the air conditioner at choudhry house (hostel) makes nights sleepable but many a times the machine just pleads for mercy.

Well i wont complain much about the weather as i have seen it being real nice for a long time and gettting not so good for 2 months can certainly be permitted.

Operated.

Waqas has been operated today. As far as i know, it was a 4 hour task for the surgeon and it was a success. A rod has been planted in his leg to provide his bones some support.

Now he will be having physiotherapy for a couple of days then shifted home if the support helps him the way it should.

i hope that things turn out to be better.

Bad news

My cousin Waqas has had an accident in karachi. Real bad it was as far as i have been told. His bike was crushed and his left leg has been hurt seriously.

He is to be operated today. May Allah help him through this.

Social drought

Not one of the best days of my life. Two good friends left me today.

Matin ur Rehman and Umair Ahmed Hassan have resigned and today was their last day at work.

Yes, its a technical drain for ESII but more than that its the fear of social loneliness that is talking most of my CPU cycles.

It was a year full of learning and fun and althoughi hope to stay in touch with them but it still hurts on the left side of my chest. I wonder why......

Ok, so the thirst to buy a digicam has raised to its optimum level.

I cant wait any longer buy one. Looking for something between the 12k -15k range.

Today i went to Blue area with Ali to my first search for the best and wasnt that thrilling. We had to leave during the lunch hours when it was blazing hot outside and adding to it we did not have much time.

The high level options were Sony Cybershot and Olympus and i wasnt getting something good for the price range that i had in these brands. Now i remember that i batch mate of mine had a Cannon when he came to visit us about 4 months back and he told me that with the memory sticks, rechargeable batteries and the charger all cost him 15k. I was the one who had the camera with me throughout the trip and the machine really impressed me.

So if anyone of you would like to guve me a suggestion, be quick :)

We were invited by Ali on a dinner on Sunday. After the khaba we went on the roof as someone wanted to smoke.

When asked about how life has changed after marriage he said

"Watching TV has changed. Now, Star Pareewar has a lot to play in my life."

"When i used to get home in the early days i wanted to have dinner first and then watch TV with her. But if we had dinner first, she was not able to watch the soaps on Star plus" he added.

Nearly all the muslim countries of the world support the stance of the US govt. on the war against terror. But the situation seems opposite from the reaction of the people of these countries if you consider pakistan for instance, there are rallies against the US every now and then. So why is there this difference of opinion ?

Well, i cant say anything about any other country of the world, but as far as pakistan is concerned i can tell you that all i am doing is for the best interest of pakistan. I am not doing anything for the US. I am doing this for my country. Now if something good for pakistan turns out to be good for anyone in the world then this is not an issue.

Why doesnt pakistan hands over Dr A Q Khan to the IAEA(International Atomic Energy Agency) for interrogation?

Well, this quesiton has been coming up from sometime and whenever i am asked this question i
say that why should we hand him over? If someone wants to ask something, tell us. We will ask him and let you know.
Now if they still insist then there are two things. Either they think that we are not capable. Now this is not acceptable to us. Or they dont trust us. This is unacceptable as well. So i must say that
there is no reason that we should hand him over to the IAEA.
