Relationship Graph
I usually fall into discussions with Ali which are very odd in nature; it was one such conversation in which Ali introduced me to an interesting theory. It’s called the relationship graph.
The relationship graph between any two ppl has two variables namely your actions and his (her) actions. It’s a very volatile graph he said, just like the usual stock exchange graph. Please bear in mind he emphasized, it just can’t be a smooth path for long. Hiccups will come along the way and this is not related to a specific type of relationship. This goes for every type.
Don’t think that you can keep a close loop with everyone there will be glitches, there will be misunderstandings, there will be friction but don’t take this over your head just be the way you are try your best and you will see things coming back to the place where you want them to see. Yes, there may be times when this won’t happen but it wouldn’t have lost its momentum from your side.
The graph should move on in the positive direction either from your axis or form the other side. It’s a straight line graph. A boost may be witnessed when both the concerned parties give it out their best. It’s then when it speeds its way to touch the sky.
I was convinced by this theory, what about you???

I missed to mention one more thing - In Graphs and mathematical variable relationships, there is constant (fixed value) associated with two or more variables e.g. 'k' in boyle's law and charle's law.
Under relationship model, E (emotions) is the constant thing. If you don't keep it as CONSTANT - the model won't work.
dont you think that its getting far more technical than it should ?? lol :)
:) Yeah it seems - what I wanted to say is E for emotions should be constant/stable.
We can PRACTICE relationship model but we can't ADAPT it overnight. Controlling E as constant is neither easy nor impossible. :) I hope this hasn't gotten so technical.
This is too vague. What are the axis? What is the origin? How many dimensions are there? What happens when one of the person dies? etc. etc.
hmmm i think i can answer a few.
dimensions: 2. Your efforts and others' efforts.
axis: effort in making the relation smooth, successful, move ahead etc.
origin: when one gets to know the other (maybe) :)
what happens when one of the person dies: hmmm now that is worth giving a thought.
i know i may be wrong with a high probability but couldnt help myself commenting. ;)
adding on the axis part, i think that these with increase with the number of ppl in the relationship.
I wonder how will it be represented when this number goes above a certain value.
Now, you are coming to the right conclusions. It's not a 2-dimensional graph. Everybody related to you is not just related to you only!
It's hyper-dimensional. Orkut can be a close analogy. Your graph model is good but it lacks many things - it's incomplete. For example, what is a "high" value? In other words, what is the desired shape of this graph? Or is it the slope that matters? Does the distance from the origin play any role? Shouldn't there be a dimension of time?
On the other hand, it SHOULD become mathematical if you want to fully understand any phenomenon. By the way, if you are interested in such stuff, I can recommend two good books "The Emerging Mind" and "Rythms of Life."
