One year at Blogger.

Today, its been an year with blogger helping me place my odd thoughts on the web.
Thanks Blogger. Thanks Google. Thanks readers.....

A quick tour.

This was being planned for two weeks, but it was finally made reality on September 17. It was three of us heading for Naran on an Alto VXR we rented out.

Images on Trope

Here are the main highlights.
  • We had only 2 days and a lot to travel. Saturday morning it was when we left islamabad for Naran and whereabouts.
  • A major misunderstanding made us take the wrong route. We drove about 200 Km (to Mardan and back) for nothing.
  • On the right track we witnessed the glory of nature which our eyes had never envisioned.
  • During an adventurous photo shoot, i fell in the river and had my cell phone in coma.
  • Had our evening tea at Kiwai. Its a beautiful place with a resturant right over a small waterfall.
  • Raced with 2 diesel Corollas on the way and overtook them inspite being on a Suzuki :)
  • Reached Naran around Maghrib prayers. Quarrelled at a few hotels and finally managed to get a (good) room at Rs 250 !!!
  • Loitered around till midnight.
  • We were at Lake Saiful Mulook at 6 am after a 45 minute breath taking drive on a jeep track. Circuled around the lake, which included crossing the ice cold water barefooted. We stayed at the majestic lake for around two hours.
  • We head back for Kiwai, and had lunch there.
  • Now was the most dangerous route of all. Shogran. With our machine converted back to petrol, it was the first gear which took through the steep road of 6 km. It was either upwards or down thousands of feet but no stopping. But it was worth it !
  • Next we take the jeep for "Siri Paye", a heaven on earth. Lush green meadows with a beauty beyond explaination. Really amazing, astonishingly outclass !! (what was that i just wrote!?! (phew))
  • The roads were extremly well maintained and in top condition. During the entire tour the accumulation of bad pathes wont exceed 2 Km which too was due to landsliding.
  • We head back for islamabad around 4:30 pm and reach home around 10:30 pm still fresh to keep awake for the next 2 hours and reach office on time the next day.

Cost

  • Jeep tracks(Saif ul Mulook & Siri Paye): Rs.700 each.
  • Fuel (Petrol and CNG): Around Rs.1800
  • Car rent with driver(2 Days): Rs.2400
  • Food and other stuff" Rs. ????
Total Cost per banda: Rs. 2575/- (Rs.600 extra for cell phone repair.)

Sunflowers

An odd type arent they? always staring at the sun as if asking "hey dude, isnt that the same thing which came up on the sky yesterday??"

The scene is even more hilarious at the night when a plant is located on the road side with a lot of lights. With so many lights around, the plant seems to be like "What???!!!!??" "Where!!" "How??". Every flower gets hold of its "own" sun and the sight is quite wild.

Jokes apart, i think science has enabled us to make intelligent solar cells as well. Ones which can shift their focus as the sun changes position (yeah i know that its not the sun which changes its position) just like the sunflowers.

This reminds be that once me and my brother made plans of installing solar cells on our remote conrolled car as we were spending hell lot of money on the batteries. The project never made itself into a reality but still it was worth giving a thought.

I switch to Warid.

Finally i got tried of Mobilink's stupid service and got a Warid connection for me.

Mobilink GSM - Pakistan's stupid cellular service.

Life gone BUSY!!

Have taken admission in MBA at SZABIST and thus making my life a lot busier. A 90 credit hour course it is.

The classes are 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Since i miss about 90 minutes of work these days so i have to come back at the office after the class to complete my working hours.

Tuesday is also the day when i deliver my lecture at the same university.

All this leaves me less time to worry about non issues but i still manage time to do that. As per Ali, "Abdullah!, no one thinks this way. What is with you!!!"

Khair anyways.......
